Deals on Shoes at DSW

For some women, going shopping is their stress reliever which I find it true. Although I am not a big spender, going to the store I like is soothing to me. One of the favorite stores I love going in our area is the DSW shoe store in Hulen. I know exactly where to go once inside, to the clearance rack. I went there today for the reason of returning two pairs I bought online because I was disappointed, the weekender set did not come with the items so I felt I should return both of them, I don’t need them anyway!

My trip to DSW today did not go wasted because I found three pairs for only $31.34, this is after that $5 off $49 purchase coupon that came with the shoes ordered online and a $15 certificate that was in my account.

The soft gold or champagne color low heel shoes was the highlight of this shopping trip. I don’t have open-toe shoes like this plus this pair is comfortable and soft to walk on. It came down to $15 after a discount. The other two pairs are 80% off each, you do the math, that’s the final price for each after a yellow sticker discount.

So I took home three pairs of shoes for just a little over $30. I don’t need to wear designer brands, as long the shoes are pretty, comfy and look good on me, I am happy with them. I am not a hard spender either, clearance rack in every store is my favorite corner to go straight whether for clothes, groceries, shoes or anything you can think of. Trust me, it is painful to think buying full price on items you can get for deep discounts.

This is one of the many things I like about living here because these kind of discounts only happen in the US, back in the Philippines it’s the business’ that fool customers, they make customers believe they got a 10% discount on a shirt but little do they know, the store only raised the price to ten percent. Also, there are no grocery discounts or “clearance” sale over there.

…. my beautiful champagne open toe shoes and two pairs of strappy sandals that will go to the Philippines for my sister. It’s winter here now that is why those two summery sandals are marked down heavily.

Cute to the Core Panda Flat Shoes

Look at this cute pair of Panda flat shoes below. Isn’t this pair the cutest? I know you would agree with me because it’s unique and not very many shoes are made for adults like Cute to the Core does. Even my two girls love the shoes. When I look at them on Amazon, there were five choices but I fell in love with panda so I chose it.

Just the cuteness of these shoes alone is irresistible, that’s what convinced me to buy me a pair. Secondly, is that, it is unique and not very many women are wearing such adorable panda shoes. I love the overall appearance of the shoes. I just wish they had a 6.5 size for it. I bought the size 6 because I am sure they will stay in my feet. If I buy the 7 size, they will be too big. I used them for the first time in a couple of stores and the mall today and oh boy, both of my big toes hurt a lot that I ended up going to a shoe store and bought me a pair of open toes sandals.

The black stitching around the opening of the shoes are kind of hurting my feet when rub against my skin, good thing I wore foot socks today so that somehow eased some of the friction when walking. Only two cons I see about this product, the sizing and the stitching. Other than that, it is a pretty pair to own!

I received a 50% discount for this product in exchange of my honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.

Great Deal on Clothing and Shoes at Old Navy Store

I’ve been back to Old Navy store twice already. It is not my habit to go back to the store and shop a lot of clothing but when I find real deep discounts on clothing and shoes for the kids, I wouldn’t mind driving there twice or more.

Last Friday last week, Old Navy had a promotion buy 2 clearance items get 1 free. That promo only lasedt for three days. I was able to avail that on Friday, bought quite a lot of slippers, boy shorts and some adult tops starting from 47 cents up to a little over $5. I spent only $27 plus that day plus I got a $10 Old Navy super cash certificate.

Yesterday I went back again and I was not disappointed. I found more awesome merchandise that are less than a dollar each. More shorts for the boys, slippers and slip on shoes for both girls and boys, some shorts for the girls at 47-97 cents. Imagine how amazing that is? Although the buy 2 get 1 free item promo has ended, I still think I got a good deal on my second haul. Some of which will be shipped to my relative in Oregon for she requested me to buy some for her siblings too.

…. photo below are just 97 cents per pair. Ever wonder why I  bought a lot of this? Well, they will go into my balik-bayan box to be sent to my brother and nephews in the Philippines.

…. stylish little girls’ shoes for 97 cents, shorts 97 cents for the girls. I should say, boys shorts are 50 cents cheaper than girls and they are thick and comfy materials.

Lightweight Training Kicks

When I saw this deal on Amazon last week, I did not hesitate to buy this pair for I know it will be comfortable. I read the reviews and everybody is saying how comfy, lightweight and how they liked the shoes. When they came in, I did not regret buying these for under $23, I got me a good pair of shoes that I can use walking on the trail. This is the sixth pair I have hoping to give me motivation in walking some more and burning excess calories in my abdomen.

I don’t need those high price shoes just like what most of you guys embrace, as long as the shoes are comfortable and very light to the feet, I’ll go for it. Running/training/walking shoes are far more attractive to me these days than fashionable high heels that to me are useless for I am not a party-kind of girl.

But when it comes to running shoes, man looking at them is like looking at a melted ice cream that makes me wanna lick and drool with it.

Two Pairs of Steve Madden Bedtime Boots for $12.88

This is what I am talking about! Deep discount on Steve Madden bedtime boots occurred last night. Shoppers went crazy at 11 pm because of these boots on Steve Madden website. They were on clearance for $14.99 and an additional 50% off by using a code SAVE and FREE SHIPPING. Who doesn’t want that? I know I already have several pairs of boots, some haven’t been worn once since I bought them but deals like this are hard to resist. This deal did not last long, a girl I told about it soon after I checked out wasn’t so lucky for it was out of stock when she logged in to her account.

These are perfect to wear in the house to keep your feet warm all the time. Seeing a mad deal like this, you should be fast enough to get your credit card in order to avail the promo or before the stocks run out, otherwise, you’ll regret it, haha.

Aside from getting these two pairs for under $13, I get 3% cashback by going through Ebates. It is a website by the way that pays you certain percentage from your favorite online store. I would recommend you will use it simply by creating a profile there, click the link and next time you go online shopping, go through ebates and voila!

Wedding Anniversary Presents for Me

My husband did not give me anything on our tenth wedding anniversary instead, he took us out to the farm where our girls had fun and dinner to the Hibachi restaurant last Sunday. It doesn’t really matter to me if there is no gift as long as he remembered to celebrate our big with us.

I asked him if we could go to DSW shoe store before dinner since I had a $20 store coupon so I could use it. He agreed with me and I took home two pairs of shoes, one that is flat open sandals and a pair of running shoes. He ended up not getting anything for he did not find any shoes he likes so I was the only one bought presents for me, haha. I like that very much.

I didn’t plan of buying another pair of running shoes but it’s hard to resist such a deal like it. Besides, the coupon says $20 off $49 purchase and if I buy just the TH flats, the coupon could not be used since my husband did not buy any. This is good though so I will be encouraged to go out there and walk some more since I have really good, comfortable and light shoes to wear.

 photo shoes_zps57880eda.jpg

… you see, I saved more than half of what I paid for these two pairs. Running shoes priced for $64.94 minus 30% store clearance price ($19.48) and additional discount $13.69 from the coupon. Nike shoes final price is $31.77. The flats were $29.94 minus 30% off store clearance price ($8.98) and coupon $6.31, final price is $14.65.

Total for two pairs including tax is $50.25, sweet deal, isn’t it? I saved $72. 58 which is more than half of what I spent in their store. This is why, I love going to DSW because of the savings I get when I shop there.

If you are a wise shopper, you don’t need to pay full price on things when you know you can get them for less no matter what brand they are.

Naturalizer Sandals for Under $3

Look what I found at Goodwill today? A pair of unused and new pair of sandals. I even look at the soles, there isn’t a scratch, smudge or any sign they have been worn. You know Naturalizer brand is known for their durability and comfort, I shall say. This pair is obviously new and to think it’s only $2.99. Great deal, yeah? These sandals are size 6.5, I like them but I am not keeping them. My mother would appreciate these because they really are very soft to the feet.

There was another pair of closed wedge shoes that fit me very good, I was gonna buy them but I didn’t have enough cash with me, the store had some trouble with their register and could only accept cash. I won’t be going back there until the end of the month so I don’t think the shoes are going to be there when I come back. Anyways, I always love it when I find good quality stuff for affordable price.

My New 2 Pairs of Boots

In my other blog I mentioned that I will receive no gifts from my husband but I don’t feel I am very poor because of the fact that I bought a lot of stuff for myself since Black Friday. One of the many things I bought for me are these new pairs of riding and combat/military boots.

I only paid $59.71 including tax for these pairs from DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) two weeks ago. They sent me a $10 gift certificate plus they offered free shipping for all members with a minimum purchase of $35. These boots were on clearance and luckily, when I was browsing for boots that day, my size was still available. I wear size 6.5 for normal shoes but I go one size up for boots for comfort and extra space for my feet.

I wore the  riding boots at church yesterday and I cannot complain a thing about the boots, they feel comfortable and they make me feel taller. I am glad I bought heeled boots this time for a change. Most of my winter boots are flat and a pair or two with heels don’t hurt.

 photo boot_zps8ff33ed8.jpg
… The other pair I haven’t tried fitting on yet, it can be worn folded or as it is as shown in the left photo below. Right now, they are just sitting in its original box waiting for the time I can wear them hopefully soon.

Taking Advantage of Puma Sale

It is not everyday I see some really deep discounts on name brand shoes and if I do, I try to take advantage of it. I bought a pair of Puma running shoes to give to my husband for Christmas, I bought the pair for only $24 plus. It came in the mail and looks pretty, I hope he likes the color I picked for him though, it is burgundy and I am not sure if he finds it nice.

Last week, I bought another at least three pair of the same brand on Puma website since they still have the sale going on and the free shipping offer. 3 Pairs and a tee for me total a little over $100 but, I did not pay that amount because I got an additional 30% of from them (get additional 30% off entire purchase of $75) so my total came down to $79 and a few cents and FREE SHIPPING!

Three of my brothers will receive these awesome goodness beautiful brand new Puma shoes while the drug-addicted brother of mine that I hated so much  won’t receive shoes from me. He will drool and eat his heart out once he finds out that he has no shoes, lol.

I can’t wait for them to arrive. My husband will be shocked I ordered too many shoes this time!

A Pair of Skechers Shoes for $12.51

One of the things I scored during my recent shopping at the thrift store nearby is this new pair of Skechers shoes I bought for only $12.51. It says kids but the pair fits in my feet perfectly so I am saying it’s mine and I am wearing it. Such an amazing deal that it is so hard to believe I got the shoes for less than fifteen bucks.

I am not ashamed to claim I shop at the thrift stores because that is where I can really find great clothing/stuff that don’t cost me so much money rather than shopping at the mall. Yes, there are great sales at the mall but if you are too slow driving over there, most likely you buy what other customers have left and don’t like.

I have a great advantage at thrift stores since most women who shop there have an American size or over weight so they can’t buy or wear the nice clothing in my size, haha. Take note, all kinds of people shop at thrift stores, not just poor ones like me. When I went there last Saturday, the store was kind of busy, the line to the register was kind of long and everybody had several clothing in their hands. There were elderly people, middle income people, some Mexicans, blacks, me. There were even working people dressed in an office attire shopping at the thrift store.

So my point is, I am not embarrassed nor ashamed I shop there because you will never know what you can find inside, something that I might not be able or willing to pay in regular prices.

wheeww… got me a new pair of running shoes I did not expect to find. I am pretty sure they are new even though it doesn’t have a tag but there are no signs of wear or even dirt on the sole, not a sign of foot that stepped in the padds… how lucky!
