New Lone Star Quilt in Our Bedroom

I don’t always purchase a bedroom item unless it is necessary but upon seeing this lovely Lone Star quilt on Macy’s website, I fell in love with it right away, no doubt about that because I could not take my eyes and mind off of it. I find the quilt very pretty for it represents the great State of Texas and I thought, it would be nice to have it in our bedroom.

I asked my husband if I can buy it and he agreed to it so I did buy it with no hesitation. The fact that it was sold for 60% off last week, that made me desire to have this quilt even more! I finally was able to lay it on our bed yesterday and got a compliment from my husband when he saw it the first time saying I got a great taste and that it looks pretty! Yeah right, that’s why I bought it!

Original is $380 and bought it for $160 plus tax. Not only that, I also received $10 cashback through ebates.com. If you haven’t signed up, please click on the link and set up yours, begin shopping and start earning cashbacks! Thank you.

Year-end Deals

In America, people tend to be busy looking for deals and steals on or after Christmas. Whether online or in-stores, a never-ending deals are expected but it is up to you whether to be tempted to go on a shopping splurge or not. Depends mainly on the budget of a person if she goes shop and drop.

As for me, although I have everything I need as of this moment, I still shop here and there but with limitation and if I have great coupons/gift cards to use.

First photo is the Clinique lipstick set I purchased on December 23,2016. Sold for $25 online and used $15 worth of Macy’s money/gift card, final out of pocket is $11.81 and it’s free shipping. Plus I earned 75 cents for shopping thru ebates before going to the retailer’s website. You should do that too because, ebates cashback can add up.

Second photo is the Victoria’s Secret gift set I bought in-store for 65% off. The pouch with mist and lotion, originally sold for $20, got it for $7, the big gift set was $35, came down to $12 plus. I used my $15 gift reward from them for reaching my minimum points. Ended up paying just $4.80 for both gift sets!

Deals on Shoes at DSW

For some women, going shopping is their stress reliever which I find it true. Although I am not a big spender, going to the store I like is soothing to me. One of the favorite stores I love going in our area is the DSW shoe store in Hulen. I know exactly where to go once inside, to the clearance rack. I went there today for the reason of returning two pairs I bought online because I was disappointed, the weekender set did not come with the items so I felt I should return both of them, I don’t need them anyway!

My trip to DSW today did not go wasted because I found three pairs for only $31.34, this is after that $5 off $49 purchase coupon that came with the shoes ordered online and a $15 certificate that was in my account.

The soft gold or champagne color low heel shoes was the highlight of this shopping trip. I don’t have open-toe shoes like this plus this pair is comfortable and soft to walk on. It came down to $15 after a discount. The other two pairs are 80% off each, you do the math, that’s the final price for each after a yellow sticker discount.

So I took home three pairs of shoes for just a little over $30. I don’t need to wear designer brands, as long the shoes are pretty, comfy and look good on me, I am happy with them. I am not a hard spender either, clearance rack in every store is my favorite corner to go straight whether for clothes, groceries, shoes or anything you can think of. Trust me, it is painful to think buying full price on items you can get for deep discounts.

This is one of the many things I like about living here because these kind of discounts only happen in the US, back in the Philippines it’s the business’ that fool customers, they make customers believe they got a 10% discount on a shirt but little do they know, the store only raised the price to ten percent. Also, there are no grocery discounts or “clearance” sale over there.

…. my beautiful champagne open toe shoes and two pairs of strappy sandals that will go to the Philippines for my sister. It’s winter here now that is why those two summery sandals are marked down heavily.

Kelly and Katie Totes Clearance at DSW

I know a great deal when I see one like these totes I availed at DSW two days ago. I visited the store not knowing what I could buy that day, my main purpose was to look for discounted umbrellas. Unfortunately, there was none. So, as usual, I proceeded to their shoe rack clearance area and found two pairs that I actually fell in love with but having a hard time choosing between the too. I ended up not buying both.

Anyway, since I did not have anything in mind to buy, I roam around the store some more and I found these lovely totes on clearance with “red” stickers on them. Red at DSW store means the item is additional 50% off. Each tote is marked $39.95, plus I had a $20 coupon off of $49 purchase and a free scarf coupon to go with it. BIG SCORE for me!

I came out of DSW that day very happy and proud that I got to save a couple dollars for buying three sets of summery/floral reversible totes. These are decent size totes with matching medium size zipped pouches each, plus a bonus of dust bags.

Deals This Week

It always makes my eyes go big when I go in the store and see unexpected clearance sales whether it be food, chocolates, clothing or household items. I would not say no to sales you know! One best example for a really good sale is this Ghirardelli chocolates at Walgreens. From $3.29 down to 89 cents. Mind you, expiry date is until January 2017. A few expire in two months, but hey, it’s chocolate. My daughters will eat them in no time if I let them.

Another great store to go for sale items on food is Kroger. Every Monday, I go there when I have the time to scour for yellow/red stickers on items in dairy, center aisle, seafood and even in produce area. One of my best buys in Kroger is this Hawaiian rolls which is 50% off the original price. I don’t buy it in full price because it is kind of pricey for me. I wish I grabbed two instead of just one in Jalapeno because it is so good!

Not pictured is the third deal I got this week is the price matching of spam canned meat at Walmart, I got 52 pieces of the lite and original flavors for just $1 each, normally $2.68. You wonder why I got so many spams? Half of it will go to my box for the family in the Philippines.

I’m such a sucker when it comes to deals because I want to help my husband by saving money on groceries and anything we need and use in this house.

Wet ‘n Wild Cosmetics Deal at CVS Pharmacy

Last week’s wet n wild cosmetics deal that ended yesterday was buy $10 worth of products and get $5 extracare bucks. There is a printable coupon for any wnw product for 50 cents and another 50 cents for nail product. I printed 12 of those and got two 50 cents coupon from Sunday paper that total 14 coupons I used at the register. Three wnw eye pencils I did not have coupons to use it with but had a $3 off $15 purchase cosmetics store coupons to stack with manufacturer coupons.

So 7 nail polishes, 7 lipsticks and 3 eye pencils for $2.27 each, totaling to $19.01. I believe I got these items for cheap or free after $10 ecb if I did not have to pay tax. These will go in my balik-bayan box this September. I got a few cousins who will love to use these girly stuff when I come home. And seeing them happy and appreciative of what I give them is such a joy.

.99 cents x 14 = $13.86
+ $5.15
– $7 manufacturer coupons and $3 store coupon
= $10.67 + .88 tax
= $11.55 OUT OF POCKET AND GOT BACK $10 extracare bucks

Save Money Online By Using Groupon Coupons

This is a sponsored post written by me. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am the one in charge of pretty much everything we need in the house pertaining to groceries, household items, children’s clothing, personal care, bedroom essentials and a whole lot more. I consider myself a wise shopper. I don’t pay full price on items I know will come down in price eventually or if possible I can use coupons with them. That is exactly what I do every time I buy something whether it be online or in-store.

There are plenty of ways to save a few dollars especially when shopping online. Here follow what I do in order to save yourself some money;

1. Register on Groupon and make sure you check the option to receive their newsletter so you will be informed when there are new Groupon Coupons. With Groupon, you will find savings on your next getaway on Travelocity promo, local restaurants, retail shopping, baby activities, fashion, local home services, etc.

2. You can sign up on sites that offer a cashback when you check out through their site like ebates, top cashback, swagbucks and etc.

3. Subscribe to couponing websites so whenever there are new online or in-store deals, you’ll get notified in your e-mail plus you will know which coupon to print out for grocery shopping.

4. Always use coupons no matter what you are going to buy, stack that with store sales to really avail deep discounts on everything you need.

5. Join Facebook groups that give shopping tips, advice and shopping deals. Groupon for example has a page too which you follow HERE.

6. Use credit cards that offer you certain percentage when shopping for gas, groceries and almost anything. Besides, credit cards offer added security for theft.

These are just a few but they will greatly make an impact in your wallet, only if you follow these. Have fun saving!

How I Got 2 Victoria’s Secret Free Full Size Bottle Perfumes

If you frequent in this blog, you would know that I am a big Victoria’s Secret shopper. You would also know the reasons why as I keep writing them over and over again.

It’s the only store I buy my bras, perfumes/mists and lotions, and other stuff from. Last week, I was able to avail their glitch online. Buy 2 sport bras for $29.50 each and entered the promos “EDP4FREE” and the other one I forgot for free shipping. I paid $63 plus including tax and received my two full size bottle of perfumes that would have cost me $110 if I were to buy them in full price. Not only that, I also received .53 cents from Ebates cashback for shopping through their site before checking out Victoria’s Secret site.

I love the new collection of VS sport bra, small size fits me perfectly and the material they used is decent enough to last for long.

2 sport bras and two full size bottle of perfume do not come by often so when I saw it, I did not hesitate to avail the glitch. It’s something that I would always go for when it happens because you would pay more if you were to do this in store.

Besides, free perfume and free shipping codes often are not stackable codes if not for the glitch.

The Revlon Mascara Craze

So everybody in the couponing groups are posting their Revlon mascara haul from Target, Walmart and CVS. I am sharing mine here too. I only printed ten coupons from smartsource and made sure to use them all today as they are only good for today.

I did try the first CVS store I went to this morning but failed. The cashier couldn’t accept more than one coupon because she thought they were copied coupons while they’re not. Revlon allowed me to print two copies each browser and I used two computers!

Gladly, the second CVS store store I went to accepted all four $5 manufacturer coupons, combined that with $4 off of $20 purchase Revlon products. Deal this week is buy one $8.79 get one 50% off, I paid out of pocket $2.76 including tax.

The six remaining coupons were used in Walmart, their current price is $5.97 so, ended up paying just 97 cents each mascara. Happy shopper here.

I know I can’t use them all as I still have old mascaras from how many months ago I don’t know… but my friends, cousins and relatives in the Philippines can use them.

12 Full Size Bottles of Victoria’s Secret Mists and Lotions for Under $5

If you follow this blog, you should have read the entry I wrote about how to get freebies from Victoria’s Secret. Here’s one of those freebies I just took advantage today at their store. Twelve full size bottles of mists and lotions plus a pair of undies for just under $5. How is that possible?

Well, it is very possible, just read on.

I have collected 6 secret reward cards in total throughout their giveaway days, 4 of which I got just by sending them stamps and envelopes in snail mail. 2 from shopping online and their store. Anyway, I bought these items pictured below because they are the cheapest I can see in their store right now, 2/$10. I used six secret reward cards worth $10 each and a free panty coupon that they sent me in the mail. Regular price of each bottle is $18.

$4.75 is the exact amount I paid today, that’s literally just taxes! All of these are just FREE!

You might be wondering what am I gonna do with all these? To answer your question, I am sending them all in a box to the Philippines for my family to enjoy or sell them there. I am one happy Victoria’s Secret shopper here!
