I have been on Photobucket since I started blogging in 2007. I never had problems with them until recently when they changed their policy. They did not give their millions of users a chance or options on what to do with their saved pictures for decades.
I for one, was devastated when I found out that all of my images embedded to my blogs wouldn’t display unless I pay them an oozing $40 per month to embed and use their service again. June 2 a lot of their users were complaining they couldn’t access to their accounts. While I missed that hype, I can still login to mine but I fell into their trap!
I have a direct advertiser with infographic needs to be posted and I couldn’t do that due to Photobucket’s new rules. So I forcibly paid them $49.99 for the entire year which I found out this amount will just increase my storage space and still I cannot embed photos to my blogs.
I have done further reading, I still need to pay them a FREAKING $499.99 annually to use the once free service they provided! This is maddening! I can’t imagine how they pissed millions of their users. I wonder, do they even realize who ridiculously overpriced they are for such a simple service while there are other sites offer it for free? What are these people thinking?
Some commenters on their blog is predicting that Photobucket’s new policy won’t work and that they will put their business down to the drain if they continue to ask for THAT VERY IMPOSSIBLE PRICE for hosting pictures on them. GOOD LUCK PHOTOBUCKET!
I know it has been a while since I last updated this blog and my other blogs as well. I will be back to posting normally once we are settled. Right now, I am kind of busy juggling between motherhood, packing our stuff in between, doing errands, taking care of my veggies/flower gardens.
This is not so me just leaving my blogs go dormant but rest assured, will be back to posting on time once I get things settled here. For now, may I wish you all a grand and enjoyable summer.
While others are posting their vacation trip photos on Facebook, I on the other hand, posting photos of boxes and empty walls of our country home.
I have developed a passion for PINK line of products over the years. There is something in these products that is so attractive to me. Gladly though that VS loves sending freebies, coupons and rewards for their loyal customers.
It’s their semi annual sale again and look what I scored? I have been wanting to buy myself this open-back long sleeves tee but then the price was too high for me to be paying. Full price is $37.95 but paid only $5.40 after store sale (50% off at this moment) and a reward card worth $15 combined plus a boyshort freebie.
I was a day late claiming my free boyshort, good thing they allowed me to claim it. I still have my birthday giftcard of $15 and I am waiting a little while to use it and see if there’s a glitch that I can use it and make the most of my purchase.
Happy me PINK lover here! You know the feeling when you really want something and you finally get it? Feels like floating on the clouds!
… the top is a little bit too big for me, but that’s alright. I prefer it buggy than being tight in my body.
I rarely go to CVS nowadays to do my couponing. We are still pretty much stocked with almost everything right now so there is no need to anymore unless I have really good and many coupons to burn. That is when I find myself at CVS.
I decided to go today before the deal for Pantene ends which is 3/$15 and when you spend $20 on select P&G products you’ll get $5 extrabucks back. Here’s what I did, I bought 4 bottles of Pantene which will give me a sure $5 at checkout and grabbed several more products which I had a coupon to use too.
$41.64 worth of products, I used $24.25 worth of coupons, only $7.25 paid out of pocket and got back $5 extrabucks. The supplements is buy one get one free if in case you’re wondering why my calculation is lacking a few dollars. It’s like paying $2.25 for all at CVS. Coupons used were from P&G they sent in the mail, CVS coupons they also sent us in the mail and store coupons after scanning my red card in the store.
Life is sweet when you get good deals on things you use daily, isn’t it?
I love how DSW shoe store that I shop give something in return to their customers. This what keeps me shop at their store once in a while even though I already got a lot of new shoes with tags on them still!
It is just so hard to say no to a deal and much more freebies. I have been a member for so long and so when they have freebies to give out, I’ll be notified too and given a coupon to redeem them. One of the freebies I took advantage of are these beautiful stripes summer tote and a matching wristlet. Not only that, I also had a $10 coupon to use with the freebie coupon since it requires a $30 purchase!
Of thousands of shoes at their store, finding the pair I like isn’t that simple. I had to try on several pairs and looked around for that shoes I can keep and wear. When I found this turquoise Converse All Star for women, I was ecstatic, picked them up and never let them go. They are gorgeous, aren’t they?
Anyway, with store clearance sale, coupons and a $10 certificate, I only paid a little over $30 for all! A pair of shoes, tote/wristet and 6 pairs of Nine West socks are included in this purchase.
Yeah, that’s the deal I am talking about!
I receive coupons from Victoria’s Secret maybe once every month. These coupons are so valuable that I don’t want to miss using them, luckily for me I am just ten minutes away from the mall so I can just go there anytime I want or when I’m free.
However, the last visit I had in their store with coupons on hand, I kind of messed up. They did not allow promo priced bras to be included for receiving the hobo bag. I bought two bras worth $50 and two free panties but did not get the bag. I was so disappointed and chose to keep the bras, did not return anything instead.
Wished I had known that online deal was way better than my local VS store. Some VS shoppers got more and paid less of what I paid for mine just because buying discounted bras online was allowed.
The day after I purchased my bras, there was a glitch online and took advantage of that just to get the boho bag. I bought 2 $25 gift cards online with free shipping and used a code for the bag. Viola! Came with the bag and the gift cards is another $20 coupon which I am going to use in my next VS purchase. I have two of this coupon so I am ready of what comes next!
One of the many advantages working in a food service industry is that you get to learn how to prepare foods you have never tried before. My favorite things to eat at work is this delicious and healthy dessert. They sell it at the cafeteria for $2.59 for a 3-ingredient parfait.
I cannot always be spending my money on a dessert that I can easily make at home. All it needs to make a good parfait are vanilla of any flavor, granola and any fruits you like. Voila! Not only it is delicious but your mind is at ease even though you eat a whole cup of this thing knowing that what you put in your mouth is way healthier than those baked sweet cobbler, cake or deep fried stuff.
Avocado is in season and it tastes delightful when mixed with granola and yogurt. If I eat it alone, I’d put a bit of honey on it but with other stuff, I am good without the sweetener on my avocado.
Another way to have a dessert is a granola with milk and ripe sweet mango. It is equally delicious as parfait. Try it and you’ll love having it every night.
There are many uses of banana leaves. Filipinos are known for being resourceful and know how to use them. You give them something, they’ll create something useful or edible out of it. Give them banana leaves, they can make you delicious Filipino delicacies wrapped in banana leaves. That’s just one of the many uses of banana leaves.
Another thing you can use these leaves for is wrap your rice and viand in it, the leaves will give your food that appetizing smell the longer it stays wrapped. Start by putting in all your rice in it, bury the viand while both are still hot.
The result is amazing. I brought my lunch yesterday at work and two other Filipinas shared and tasted my food. They haven’t tried doing it or not experienced it when they were little but we did. My grandmother used to wrap our lunches with these leaves when we were just in elementary.
I kind of missed how delicious the food is when wrapped so I tried it again after two decades! Pictured below is grits, fried pork, seasoned with salted fish, soy sauce and pork oil. Sooo yummy that I want to do it again one of these days! My co-workers even asked me to bring enough lunch next time so they too can enjoy it.
It is here in America that I learned how to cook. I want to eat and to do that is to learn how to prepare my own meal. Growing up, we always had our mother cook and prepare our meals for us. I married and moved to the USA 11 years ago and from then I have learned how to cook Filipino dishes. It was not hard actually, things can be learned fast if a person is interested.
Anyway, I never have any idea how to do any of the delicious Filipino delicacies, you know when in a country where no one is selling the foods you are craving, that left you with no other choice. The internet is a good source to search for information you want to know and voila! Different recipes, different outcome. Throughout the years of making this “cassava suman” I think I perfected it this time. It is so soft, just the right sweetness in it. Or I can best describe it as ” when you get to taste it, you don’t wanna stop and will want to eat some more”. Yes, is that good!
I use the usual ingredients to make this delicacy, grated cassava or yucca root, 2 cans of coconut milk, brown sugar, young coconut strips, vanilla, banana leaves to wrap it and lastly, I mixed it with sweet purple potato. Maybe it’s the potato that makes it different from the past sumans I made before. It took me 3 hours from peeling off the cassava until I start steaming them. Yes, it is that time-consuming of a process to make this delicacy, mind you!
Sorry I don’t give measurement of ingredients as I only did this of estimation.
