When items are free, I am more than glad to get them with the use of coupons of course! CVS’ deal for 8 oz. Glade Fall Collection Spray is 3/$3, I used their store coupon from the red machine for that $1 off 3 Glade spray and 1 manufacturer coupon $2 off three any Glade product which make them free. Did two transactions that’s why I brought home 6 bottles.
Another deal that I found interesting is the Nivea lip care, buy any 2 get $3 ecb back. I had $3 on hand from previous week’s deal and used it, total $6.88. Could have spent less in all of the items below if I didn’t buy 2 candies for my girls.
Just thought of sharing this not so interesting mini haul I did today, who knows there’s somebody out there looking for a deal at CVS this week.
I went to CVS last Monday this week hoping to grab a pack of Tena since I had a $2 manufacturer coupon and a $2 off $8 tampons or liners store coupons. I don’t really need pantiliners or pads right now as I still got a decent stock of them but since CVS was on the way to my other stop, might as well stop and see what I can find there.
Good enough I brought with me a few other coupons which aren’t expired and dug in my zipped wallet, I actually found 3 ($1 any tena product) other Tena coupons from a blinking machine long time ago and don’t expire until next month. So now, I got $8 of total store and manufacturer coupons with no extrabucks.
Promise, it was just an accidental haul of Tena pads, in the shelf, yellow tag says $2.99 and when I scanned the 14 pads packaging turned out to be just 99 cents. I couldn’t believe nobody bought them yet so I took all that’s left in there and one regular priced liner which I end up paying $6 plus tax for all 9 packs of pads/liners. One not pictured.
I always love it when I find deals I don’t expect, really. I could grin ear to ear for this knowing that I added my stockpile of pads/liners with this awesome brand. The reason this pads are on clearance is that the store is trying to get rid of the old packaging, there’s a new one out but, really, who can tell the difference? The quality of pads would just be the same as this one.
Shopping tip: when you go out shopping and you have coupons at home, don’t forget to bring them for you will never know what you can find in stores you’re going to. For instance, I went to Albertson’s one day and found these Covergirl lipsticks on clearance for $1.99 each and a CG outlast nail polish for 99 cents. Gladly enough, I had my $4 off any CG product manufacturer coupon so I used it to buy two lippies and the nail polish. So, the $4 mq covers the lippies cost, I only had to pay 97 cents for the polish!
When you shop with an open mind, most likely you’ll bump into deals you don’t expect. That’s wise shopping for me. Can I afford to pay full price of Covergirl lippies and nail polishes? Sure, but I refuse to do it since I know heaps of ways to save on those items. Why pay more for items when you know you can get them for less, right?
I was lucky when I went to Kroger today and found out that they still have ample stocks on Hefty freezer slider bags or I’ll be very upset. I have not done couponing for a while now until today. I want to finish off my manufacturer coupons before they expire at the end of this month so I forced my achy self to go out and shop along with my two silly girls.
I went to three different stores to grab some items that are a good deal or on sale. First stop was Kroger which I bought the Hefty slider bags for just 49 CENTS each. Mega sale event 99 cents/each if you buy 6 and I had (3) $1/2 manufacturer coupons to use for all six that left me with 49 cents final price.
Second stop was Walmart, I bought a couple of items with the use of coupons but only pictured two products shown below. Final Touch fabric softener is 48 cents each after manufacturer coupons I printed from coupons.com, two $2. Walmart price for it is $2.48. Next is the Rimmel London nail polishes for 50 cents each, I used 3 $1 any Rimmel product manufacturer coupons, Walmart price is $1.50.
I know I already have enough nail polishes but stocking up on them won’t harm me, besides, I am sending some to the Philippines.
I am slowing down in my couponing. I would be glad for the day to come that I get rid of all my coupons completely. But for now, while I still have high value manufacturer coupons, might as well take advantage of the deals it give me. It is getting very hot here in our state so going out frequently would be too much for me and my children.
Anyway, here’s my deals of the week. CVS coupon red machine spits out a $2 off store coupon for select colgate products until Saturday, it is on sale until Saturday so you might want take advantage of that. You must scan your red card and print a $1 manufacturer coupon from coupons.com and pair it with the store coupon. That is how you make your toothpaste free, trust me, it will not cost you anything, not even a penny. See the receipts below. I did it twice because I have two CVS red cards.
Another deal I hunted is from Kroger. There are tons of items that are on sale in Kroger stores right now but this one is so cheap that I want to share it with you my dear readers. Herbal Essences shampoos are part of the “buy 5 instantly save $5” promo, leaves you $1.99 each if you buy 5. But if you the manufacturer coupons from P&G from 5/11 $3 off two HE shampoo or conditioner, you can score each bottle for only 56 cents.
I came up with that price because I bought one bottle of body wash for $1.76 and used 2 $3 HE shamp/conditioner coupons and one $1 for body wash. I know my husband complains about the amount of shampoos we have in stock but it is hard to pass up a deal like this, besides, I love the new HE Moroccan shampoo so I got them.
