Wet ‘n Wild Cosmetics Deal at CVS Pharmacy

Last week’s wet n wild cosmetics deal that ended yesterday was buy $10 worth of products and get $5 extracare bucks. There is a printable coupon for any wnw product for 50 cents and another 50 cents for nail product. I printed 12 of those and got two 50 cents coupon from Sunday paper that total 14 coupons I used at the register. Three wnw eye pencils I did not have coupons to use it with but had a $3 off $15 purchase cosmetics store coupons to stack with manufacturer coupons.

So 7 nail polishes, 7 lipsticks and 3 eye pencils for $2.27 each, totaling to $19.01. I believe I got these items for cheap or free after $10 ecb if I did not have to pay tax. These will go in my balik-bayan box this September. I got a few cousins who will love to use these girly stuff when I come home. And seeing them happy and appreciative of what I give them is such a joy.

.99 cents x 14 = $13.86
+ $5.15
– $7 manufacturer coupons and $3 store coupon
= $10.67 + .88 tax
= $11.55 OUT OF POCKET AND GOT BACK $10 extracare bucks

The Revlon Mascara Craze

So everybody in the couponing groups are posting their Revlon mascara haul from Target, Walmart and CVS. I am sharing mine here too. I only printed ten coupons from smartsource and made sure to use them all today as they are only good for today.

I did try the first CVS store I went to this morning but failed. The cashier couldn’t accept more than one coupon because she thought they were copied coupons while they’re not. Revlon allowed me to print two copies each browser and I used two computers!

Gladly, the second CVS store store I went to accepted all four $5 manufacturer coupons, combined that with $4 off of $20 purchase Revlon products. Deal this week is buy one $8.79 get one 50% off, I paid out of pocket $2.76 including tax.

The six remaining coupons were used in Walmart, their current price is $5.97 so, ended up paying just 97 cents each mascara. Happy shopper here.

I know I can’t use them all as I still have old mascaras from how many months ago I don’t know… but my friends, cousins and relatives in the Philippines can use them.

Deals on Vitamins at CVS this Week 1/3-9/16

Here’s a good deal worth driving to CVS this week, a deal on vitamins with tons to choose from. Brands like CVS brand, nature made, nature bounty and Disney are buy one get one free! It is even better if you have manufacturer coupons and store coupon printed from the red machine last week to stack altogether. I got $4 off of $25 vitamin purchase for that and a $5 ecb along with a few manufacturer coupons.

These vitamins could easily cost me over $60 but with the use of coupons, I was able to save 75% of the price for all this. I am pleased with my shopping trip because I only paid $19.90 including tax for vitamins that could last for months, these are of course for me and for our girls.

Another deal I am aiming to avail this week is the Aveeno cleansing bars which will then give me $10 ecb back, no need for coupons for this. Hopefully when I go to the store on Saturday, there’ll be stocks left in the shelf before the promo ends.

CVS Thanksgiving Freebies

Free is good and I love it. Free paid for by your neighbors is bad and I don’t like that idea. So, if you haven’t head out to CVS this week, better go asap as these freebies are only good until tomorrow. I scored a few items that I use and are useful to my family worth $12.47. I could have scored more but when I went to the other CVS store, some items are out and I can’t force them to sell me the stuff I want if they are out, lol.

Anyway, I only paid $2+ out of pocket for all this since I had $10 extrabucks on hand. Goodies are good, eh! I used two cards for this, of course!

Items below;

1 CVS trial pack boys training pants

2 CVS brand pantiliners

2 Colgate toothpastes at $3 each ( I used (2) red machine printed coupons $2.50 and (2) .50 manufacturer coupons

2 CVS travel wipes

2 Extra gum sticks

1 Luden cough drops

1 sample Centrum vitamints

Kroger Free Toothbrushes and Half Priced Coffee at CVS

I stopped couponing months ago but when I see deals that don’t require coupons due to its deep discount, I’d grab it and stock up on it. Kroger deal on Colgate toothbrush plus is on going and good until February 2, it’s currently $10/10 and get a $2 catalina coupon every 2 toothbrushes purchased after check out, it’s like getting them for free.

Another great deal at CVS, sale unfortunately had ended yesterday for $4.99 for 30.45 oz. Folgers coffee and 30.60 oz Maxwell House Wake Up. Full price for each is $10.99 for Folgers and $12.49 for Maxwell House. I don’t drink coffee, my husband does so I stocked up on coffee that is at least half a year’s supply for him. I did not use any coupons for those deals because, as you can see the savings huge it’s free and 55% off.

I love seeing deals like these. Saves us money plus we get to buy enough supply that lasts longer. How about you? Do you chase deals around your area or you just buy one item that you need?

Store Freebies of this Week

Two items I got for free today from Albertson’s and CVS. I got the full-size body wash from CVS by printing a coupon couple of days ago. The 8 inches Cuisinart non-stick stainless skillet is from Albertson. The store has an annual promo to all their customers. Those who shop from September until December 25 can earn 1 stamp for every $10 spent in their store. We have collected just 73 stamps and so an 8 inches skillet is what we got for free.

It is a pretty thing to have in our kitchen, makes cooking easy and wipe off easy. I always love it when I get free stuff through coupons or joining promotions.

Thanksgiving Freebies at CVS This Week

Started last Sunday,23 until 29th, CVS will have several items you get for free after extrabucks. Be sure to check their online or in-store ad which ones you like to get. I grabbed 8 products but only printed 7 ecb receipts, I don’t know why that one item did not print out, it’s probably the kitkat worth $1 but I am not planning of going back to the store just for that.

I had $10 gift card on hand so I paid less than $2 for my items, I also bought Physicians Formula eye defining pencil not in picture. I rolled my ecbs and paid less out of pocket for them and still got ecbs to use next time I go to CVS. I stopped couponing four months ago but freebies like this is hard to resist.

Another great deal I got in today’s shopping, this one is from Kroger. I knew that there’s a deal for Aveeno product at that store this week and tried it. Here’s what I got, a $3 catalina and a $2 rebate at checkout51 on my phone. This cost $5.99 each, you do the math of my savings, I used (2) $1 tear pad for two bottles. I’ll go back there again on Wednesday and see if catalina is still available. So, it’s a total $7 savings for two bottles. Final price would be $2.40 each.

Dollar General Lack of Training and Inexperienced Employees

A new Dollar General store has opened its doors to customers near our area, located on the address below, is disappointing.

Dollar General # 1379 2 mi
5721 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX

We have been receiving store coupons from them in the mail and I tried going there yesterday for the first time. Yes, it was my first time and I already had an unpleasant experience at their store.

I bought 7 bags of candy for Halloween that cost $5 each. Their current store sale is buy 2 get 1 free and another promo is buy 3 get 1 free. The coupon I had on hand is $5 off $25 purchase. Now, with two bags are free, I should only be paying $25 for seven bags. Subtract that with the $5 coupon, remaining is $20.

This is their actual store ad, the buy 3 get 1 free ad isn’t printed but it is advertised in the aisle.

The cashier yesterday was obviously confused of the “store sale” and the use of “store coupon”. The system automatically deducted each item certain amount. And he was supposed to scan the coupon before letting me pay. Before leaving the store yesterday, I knew my coupon wasn’t used and just had to come back the following day, which is today.

A kid greeted me today and told him that I had a $5 coupon which wasn’t used in my purchase, he looked at the receipt and argued that it took some amount because the receipt says, “total savings $10” but it wasn’t because of the coupon, it was because of the two bags I got for free for buying those bags that entitles me for 2 bags of candy. I said, that if the coupon was used, it should be printed in the receipt as “coupon savings” and it wasn’t printed. He then insisted that I bought the wrong candy, I said, if it is wrong, the system wouldn’t take it and credit the $10 savings.

I told the kid that I have shopped several times in older Dollar General stores in the past and always when coupons are used during checkout, it would be printed clearly.

He then introduced himself as the “assistant manager” on duty. I cannot remember his name though but he obviously IS CONFUSED OF THE STORE SALE AND THE USE OF COUPON for he did not credit me of my coupon.  He said that he has been working with DG of over a year, that is not even enough time for him to brag about that, he is the assistant manager but that doesn’t mean he is right and thus know everything. I have been couponing for three years and I know exactly how it works.

What I did was, returned all the bags of candy so I will get my money back and demanded I want my coupon back, the assistant manager said that he can’t give it back to me because they tear coupons after scanning them. It is just disappointing that they actually put those employees as front lines but they don’t know how coupons work.

That new Dollar General store in Crowley cannot have my business again because of the LACK OF TRAINING AND INEXPERIENCED of their employees. If the manager don’t know that, they are driving potential customers away and I wouldn’t be surprised if their store isn’t making money as much as they hoped for.

Free 8 oz. Glade Fall Collection Spray

When items are free, I am more than glad to get them with the use of coupons of course! CVS’ deal for 8 oz. Glade Fall Collection Spray is 3/$3, I used their store coupon from the red machine for that $1 off 3 Glade spray and 1 manufacturer coupon $2 off three any Glade product which make them free. Did two transactions that’s why I brought home 6 bottles.

Another deal that I found interesting is the Nivea lip care, buy any 2 get $3 ecb back. I had $3 on hand from previous week’s deal and used it, total $6.88. Could have spent less in all of the items below if I didn’t buy 2 candies for my girls.

Just thought of sharing this not so interesting mini haul I did today, who knows there’s somebody out there looking for a deal at CVS this week.

Tena Pads Just 99 Cents at CVS

I went to CVS last Monday this week hoping to grab a pack of Tena since I had a $2 manufacturer coupon and a $2 off $8 tampons or liners store coupons. I don’t really need pantiliners or pads right now as I still got a decent stock of them but since CVS was on the way to my other stop, might as well stop and see what I can find there.

Good enough I brought with me a few other coupons which aren’t expired and dug in my zipped wallet, I actually found 3 ($1 any tena product) other Tena coupons from a blinking machine long time ago and don’t expire until next month. So now, I got $8 of total store and manufacturer coupons with no extrabucks.

Promise, it was just an accidental haul of Tena pads, in the shelf, yellow tag says $2.99 and when I scanned the 14 pads packaging turned out to be just 99 cents. I couldn’t believe nobody bought them yet so I took all that’s left in there and one regular priced liner which I end up paying $6 plus tax for all 9 packs of pads/liners. One not pictured.

I always love it when I find deals I don’t expect, really. I could grin ear to ear for this knowing that I added my stockpile of pads/liners with this awesome brand. The reason this pads are on clearance is that the store is trying to get rid of the old packaging, there’s a new one out but, really, who can tell the difference? The quality of pads would just be the same as this one.
