Spring Dresses 2015

Wearing a dress is what I am most comfortable with during this kind of season. I just can’t think of a perfect outfit than a nice, floral printed dress. I have two girls so I am more than proud to say that they are my living doll, who I can dress up whatever I like.

Below is of me and the girls with our beautiful dresses. This was taken at Baptist church nearby during egg hunting on Saturday. It was a bit cooler that day so I decided to put on cute little cardigans to my girls that coordinated with their dresses.

Mind you, I bought their dresses last year when stores had their end of season sale while mine, I have had it for maybe three years now but rarely wear it. One of the many things I like about dresses is that, I don’t have to spend so much time trying to figure out what sort of bottoms and tops to give to my girls in order to match because I am not good at that. With a one piece of cloth, they can easily put it on and I don’t worry about a mismatched outfit.

Photo captured by my husband about my girl crying. I was teasing her and acted I walked away because she wanted me to kneel down and be wrapped with my arms…

Buy 1 Get 2 Free Aeropostale Socks

I just know when I see pretty good deals, if I miss to buy that item in my first visit, I just couldn’t sleep until I buy one for me. One example are these Aeropostale ankle socks I bought last week. I didn’t buy them when I first saw them as I had other items in mind why I visited their store at the mall. When I went home that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about the socks.

Socks are a must-have for me in winter. Besides, I have a 7-year old girl that constantly needs socks for school. So I went back to the mall and made sure I got me 9 pairs of socks with nice prints in them. Aeropostale sale for socks was buy one get two free! Each pack contains three pairs for $10.50. I paid a little over $11 for 9 pairs of socks, yeah!

Each pair is just $1.30 after tax, a few cents more than what is individually sold at Walmart. Aero for me is the winner quality-wise. Walmart’s socks are stringy inside which could trap your little toes when you put them on in a hurry! Hurry to your nearest Aeropostale store and see if you can still score this awesome sock deal!

Over $50 Savings from Aeropostale

I am so crazy with good deals! If I find one and I know it’s a good one, better be fast and grab it before it’s gone. Two days ago Filipinas had frenzy shopping on PS Aeropostale website due to free $10 plus free shipping deal. I was one of the lucky ones who got to use four codes and made four transactions that only cost me $1.34 for I exceeded on the minimum amount that I should order, that’s fine! Paying that very little amount for five items is way better than paying $50 or more out of pocket if I didn’t use codes for my items.

You see, I see it as a blessing in a form of clothing. They are almost free if I say it. These warm fleece pants are comfortable and feel good to the skin. Some people who have money are willing to pay that amount but I am not, even though they were on sale but they would still be too much for our pocket. Thank God for the opportunities wherein I can still shop for clothes we need but pay too little for them.

Aeropostale has done a good job shipping these items, they came very fast and also they included $30 worth of coupons for next shopping. I love it!

Light Long Sleeves for Under $5

When one is in a tight budget, he or she would do anything to make ends meet. With that said, you don’t need to sacrifice buying some clothing for yourself for there are plenty of ways to save at the same time buying the things you need.

Another great find I found at a thrift store are these light long sleeves for under $5. These aren’t just mall clothing, these are GAP, Aeropostale and Mossimo. Two of which only priced $3.33 and the GAP is $4.94. Mind you, these were new with original tags still on when I found them. Luckily, two of which are my size, they are perfect for Fall.

Another awesome find is this GUESS lunch box. Who would have thought that I could only buy it for only $1.99? I may not need it right now but I know someday, I will. This can be used to ball game events where transparent bags are needed or for putting lunch boxes in it to work.

So this is my recent haul I made. What’s yours? Do you shop at Goodwill or thrift store too? I do! I should not be embarrassed admitting it for these stores aren’t the “wet market” type. Their clothes are neatly hanged in a clean environment. People I’ve seen who shop at these stores are office workers, elderly, myself and many others that you wouldn’t think you’ll find them digging in thrift stores.

It is just a sense of practicality why a lot of people would rather go there instead of spending so much money on things that they know they can buy for a lot less than in the mall or elsewhere.

Saturday Mall Shopping – Chevron Print Kind of Day

I left in the house early this morning for I was concerned that it will be too crowded at one store which happens to have a day sale for flip flops. As early as 9 a.m we were headed to our first stop, CVS to grab some things which is on the way to the mall. Second stop is at Old Navy, they are having an in-store special today only for solid flip flops cost $1/pair, normally sold for $3.50. I bought ten pairs, you might think it is too crazy to buy that many pairs. Mind you, most of these pairs will go to the Philippines for my family.

As expected, the crowd was massive, the checkout was a bit slow albeit there were four people working at the register. The line was too long that it almost wrapped around the store inside. Anyhow, I chose to go there so I was willing and patient enough to stand in line.

After Old Navy, we went back to the mall and shopped some more. Last destination was Rue21. There I hauled pretty nice prints clothing and paid 50% with the use of a store coupon sent to me by a friend. Total was $44 plus tax and was able to make it down to only $25.95. It was a Chevron print kind of day for me. Look at my haul below. First photo was the two flounce top maxi dresses I tried on, I was torn between those two prints, I was gonna buy both but realized I love Chevron more.

…. Another thing I bought for me are these cute Chevron print top and a white cropped bottom. Yes, I know I still got a few new clothing hanging in my closet with tags in them but I know these make me happy. Eventually I’ll be able to wear them, so no worries. I had a good time shopping today and saved at the same time.

Going out to breathe a fresh air without my little one is what I needed. I spent most of my days at home now that it’s getting very hot outside so I think I deserve the shopping spree I did today.

3 Tips For Punk Life

Since the whole point of punk is to buck authority and think for yourself, it can be difficult to know where to start when outfitting and accessorizing your new lifestyle. When no one will tell you anything, how do you know what to do? Consider this a secret guide to becoming more punk.

1: Get The Look

Most punk fashion revolves around tough, hard-edged things like combat boots and bondage straps on your pants. Red plaid is also a hot commodity; you’ll find it everywhere among the punk crowd. Check out thrift stores, vintage boutiques and other alternative retailers to start building a wardrobe with attitude.

2: Read The Literature

Clothes are only the window dressing of a true nonconformist lifestyle. To be punk, you have to think punk, so get comfortable with authors like Kathy Acker and Charles Bukowski. Their views on anarchy, commercialism and the world at large are sure to influence how you see things yourself.

3: Meet The People

The one bad thing about punk is that it can emotionally and politically isolate you from everyone you used to know. Look for like-minded individuals in your area who have an appreciation for free thinking. They’re the ones who will take you to bars, concerts and protests with other punks, and they’re the ones who will truly understand you when no one else does.

These are just three ways to embrace the punk lifestyle. Don’t worry, you don’t have to tell anyone that you got advice. It can be a secret between you and this website!

Shopping for Myself

I feel like I deserve to reward myself since I have been working so hard hauling some deals at different stores nearby. For weeks, all I have done was doing store hopping trying to stock up most of the stuff we need in the house. I feel exhausted and want to quit now since we got enough.

It is time to buy something for myself. It’s been quite a while now since I have not rewarded myself. These two below I purchased at Zulily are sure would make me feel beautiful, haha. The black and white maxi dress is only under $8 and the second photo which is you know look revealing maybe just under $6. Sweet deals, aren’t they? Not to mention they are free shipping. Zulily’s offer is I get free shipping on the second order if it is placed before midnight of the same day. So there I went, checked out and purchased these two aside from the other two items which are household items. Estimated shipping date will be on the 18th next month, way too long to wait but what else can I do?

Patriotic Women’s Sweater

I purchased this USA flag sweater online two weeks ago. It is my first clothing that has an American flag in it. Surely I am going to wear it when I feel most patriotic in a certain days. I love it and it’s warm perfect for mid Fall or Winter.

When I looked at the tag sewn on the neck of this sweater, I was actually surprised to see that familiar clothing name that is sold at Macy’s. The website I bought it from isn’t a big online store nor popular but look, they carry the same clothing line as Macy’s. And you Macy’s clothing are expensive unless they are marked down or in clearance.

I should have not doubted the quality of merchandise of the online store because… they are not cheap after all although their prices are way lower than in department stores.

For just less than $10 including shipping for a gorgeous sweater like this, I think I scored a good deal on this one.

Sales Flooding Everywhere

It is the time of the year when people go broke even if they have a stable job because of the sales flooding everywhere, good thing there is a credit card that is ready to use anytime to the rescue, you stay at home and you will still have access to sales online. If you go to the mall, you will see big RED signs from each brand/boutique door trying to catch a customer’s attention to go inside their shop.

Either you know how to drive or not. There is truly no escape from shopping, I think!

For some, it is the perfect time to be shopping for summer outfits. Almost all stores are getting rid of their out-of-season clothing that they did not sell from last season so they are having really marked down items like the one pictured below. I took it at body central today where I spent most of my time after visiting Gymboree.

Body Central’s promo in-store is different from their website, right now they are having a buy 2 get 1 free whereas in-store it’s only buy 1 get 1 free. The only thing I am not willing to do is I get to pay for the shipping fee buying clothes online that is why going to the mall instead is practical. Plus, princes online and in-store aren’t the same.

When you go to the mall this weekend, rest assured and be prepared to spend some money due to many temptations you cannot say no. I got out of Body Central store today only spent $10+, I bought me a stylish printed fringed and striped maxi skirt (free, online price is $12.29) with double slits.

…. one of the skirts I bought is this striped maxi skirt with double slits. Yes, I am 30 years old but it doesn’t mean I don’t wear this kind of clothing intended for younger people, I still feel young at heart, you know?

I Prefer to Shop Online Sometimes

Admittedly, I prefer shopping online sometimes than going to the mall especially if shopping for my family back home. Although we tend to pay for the shipping and we cannot physically touch the items online yet I find it easy to find the things I really want to buy. Items are laid out neatly in front of me with just a click of a mouse.

We are only less than ten minutes away from the mall but going there is sometimes a bit tiring plus the fact that, the items you see online might not be available in-store or they don’t have the same promotions offered online. Aeropostale is the brand of clothing I buy for my brothers, they are comfortable, nice colors/prints and true-to-size. One instance, I browsed for men’s clothing online first before heading out to the mall, unfortunately, almost all of the nice items were gone at the mall so I went back home and shopped online for the things that were cheaply priced.

I didn’t mind paying for the shipping because I loved what I bought when the items arrived to our front door. I’d rather pay an extra five bucks for my items rather than forcing myself to shop the ones that are leftovers by other customers in-store. I would be very disappointed if I did.

I paid less than $30 for all the items photographed below, that’s including shipping and tax. Men’s shirts are V-neck style in stripes which were not available in-store.
