My Daily Look at Work

I don’t like taking selfie of myself because I don’t seek attention or maybe I am confident of how I look. I don’t need constant people’s approval through selfies and post it on social media everyday. Occasional selfie for me is enough but not to the point of offending people on your FB list just because it’s your face, same old face that floods their walls.

Anyhow, here’s a selfie of me wearing my work uniform. This is my daily look as a host/hostess. Hair tied up, white long sleeves, a black vest, black pants and black pair of shoes. Of course, I have to have my lipstick, facial moisturizer, eye liner/brow on so people will respect me. I don’t let myself look “lusyang” at work for that reason.

The top long sleeves is so big for me, only large size available but thanks to the small vest, it can be hidden and na remedyohan ra jud tawn! I love the uniform, it looks classy and respectable.

Honesty is what I Can Give as a Reviewer

As you may have known, I am or have been reviewing products since 2008. Either paid or receiving free items, I am willing to do it. I have countless reviews over the years and I must say, I have become better at what I am doing.

Doing the thing I love most somehow gives me skills and knowledge to properly examine the products that the seller or advertisers entrusted me to do. Some weren’t happy of the feedback or review I gave them but then, honesty is all I can give when it comes to reviewing their products for the sake of their prospect buyers/customers. Because, I myself, would rely on other/previous customers’ feedback if I were to buy something that cost a tremendous amount of money.

One of the perks of being a reviewer is that the free items you actually get that you love to use or wear. Example is this boy shorts swim with matching strappy bra top and a cover up. It is a stylish set that has a beautiful pattern that I chose for myself.

I was not disappointed for it fits right, hugs my body and yes, I am comfortable with it. You see, I got to pick the style I want, color or design and all it takes is my honest review after testing the product. I hope I made the seller happy with it.

I Love Anything Patriotic

I am a mom of two and I love feeling good inside out. Being a mother and a full-time housewife does not mean you let yourself go or look “lusyang” since what you do is run a household and take care of your family. That’s a big no no for me.

One of the things I do in order to look good for myself is wearing current, trendy yet affordable clothes. I also love showing my patriotism to this great country, and with that being said, fashion and patriotism combined in one clothing, yes please! I am into that.

I so love anything patriotic, whether it be undies, cover-ups, tops or dresses. I am attracted to this kind of fashion. One of which is the cover-up I recently bought from Amazon. I find it appealing and so I knew I am gonna love this clothing once I get it, I am right. It is soft, comfy to the skin, the size fits perfect in me and most of all, it’s the American flag!

I got a few US flag tops in my closet and I am waiting for the right time to wear them, show them that I am a proud United States law abiding citizen!

Old Navy End of Season Clearance Starting at 47 Cents

Now is the perfect time to shop for clothes for you and your entire family especially for your kids. One of my favorite destinations to shop for clearance is Old Navy. When we say, clearance, their merchandise is truly marked down to like they almost give it away.

You just have to take your time and have patience when shopping for clearance. There are plenty to choose from and some of the mark down items are buried deep under the not so deal items. As temperatures get dropping down, stores are also getting rid of their previous merchandise so you really need to head on to your fave store and start shopping for next summer’s outfit.

As for my haul yesterday, I found quite a lot on women’s section to be cheap. Two of my favorite finds are the blue hound’s tooth dress for under $8 and a beautiful beige/faux snakeskin body bag which I love a lot. It was marked down half price off and so I grabbed it. If the bag was sold at less than $15 and it isn’t as beautiful as the one I’m wearing below, I would even bother spending my money on it. But man, when I laid eyes on it, thought this bag was gorgeous for half off price.

Other stuff I found was 47 cents women’s sleeveless shirts, 2 summer dresses for my 7 year old kid, one long sleeves and two other top for my mother which are under $2 each. I paid a little over $32 for everything plus a $10 Old Navy supercash good for next shopping trip.

I am happy with my haul and yes, would love to go back there again sometime soon.

Old Navy Skater Dress for Under $1

Money is tight these days yet I managed to shop some clothing for me and my girls. They are growing everyday so I am constantly on the lookout for nice yet good deal dresses, undies and other things for them. I am back to shopping at Old Navy store now after such a long time of dodging them because I believed the quality of their clothing materials had declined but with all the deals, sales and clearance prices going on at their store, I find myself going there again.

Last time I went there, I was able to find this super cute skater dress for $1.97 clearance price, large size in children’s department and it turned out to be just 97 cents when I checked out. It fits me good plus the sweet price tag. I did not hesitate to grab it along with a couple items in my hand that time. I bought two dresses actually, same skater dress style but different color and stripes.

I don’t normally find such a price like this but when I do, rest assured… I won’t be going home empty-handed. Believe it or not, I went home that day with 5 items in my hand for just a little over $27 total plus I earned supercash for next shopping of $25 or more. Yes, that’s how thrifty I am when it comes to scouring for clothing deals.

Love it!

Old Navy Active Clothing to Inspire Us

There is nothing fulfilling than being able to perform my goals each week, to workout 2-3x and do my walking exercise 2x per week. To do this, I should think that there is no excuse for me because I don’t go to work and there is nothing else to do during the week. On weekends, I try as much as possible to walk a mile.

In order to be inspired, I bought some active clothing while they are on sale. Getting the right outfit for my intended exercise makes me believe that I am actually exercising and will be more motivated to sweat. So far, I am doing good with it and sticking to my goal which I am loving so much.

I have bought a couple of sports bra over the course of months and probably will be buying more if I find one, a few pairs of active bottoms and also active tank tops. Here’s the latest buy I made at Old Navy. They were on sale but still I paid a little over $75 for everything in the picture.

I decided to buy active outfits for my girls too so they feel they need to be active too and would enjoy more the outdoors by riding their bikes or just playing in the playground. My firstborn is loving her outfits and worn the purple pair right away as soon as I told her I bought her something.

…I shall go back to Old Navy store in a couple days to buy the matching bottoms of my pink and blue tanks/bras. Hopefully the prices would come down by then so I can buy two or more pairs.

Spring Dresses 2015

Wearing a dress is what I am most comfortable with during this kind of season. I just can’t think of a perfect outfit than a nice, floral printed dress. I have two girls so I am more than proud to say that they are my living doll, who I can dress up whatever I like.

Below is of me and the girls with our beautiful dresses. This was taken at Baptist church nearby during egg hunting on Saturday. It was a bit cooler that day so I decided to put on cute little cardigans to my girls that coordinated with their dresses.

Mind you, I bought their dresses last year when stores had their end of season sale while mine, I have had it for maybe three years now but rarely wear it. One of the many things I like about dresses is that, I don’t have to spend so much time trying to figure out what sort of bottoms and tops to give to my girls in order to match because I am not good at that. With a one piece of cloth, they can easily put it on and I don’t worry about a mismatched outfit.

Photo captured by my husband about my girl crying. I was teasing her and acted I walked away because she wanted me to kneel down and be wrapped with my arms…

Buy 1 Get 2 Free Aeropostale Socks

I just know when I see pretty good deals, if I miss to buy that item in my first visit, I just couldn’t sleep until I buy one for me. One example are these Aeropostale ankle socks I bought last week. I didn’t buy them when I first saw them as I had other items in mind why I visited their store at the mall. When I went home that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about the socks.

Socks are a must-have for me in winter. Besides, I have a 7-year old girl that constantly needs socks for school. So I went back to the mall and made sure I got me 9 pairs of socks with nice prints in them. Aeropostale sale for socks was buy one get two free! Each pack contains three pairs for $10.50. I paid a little over $11 for 9 pairs of socks, yeah!

Each pair is just $1.30 after tax, a few cents more than what is individually sold at Walmart. Aero for me is the winner quality-wise. Walmart’s socks are stringy inside which could trap your little toes when you put them on in a hurry! Hurry to your nearest Aeropostale store and see if you can still score this awesome sock deal!

Over $50 Savings from Aeropostale

I am so crazy with good deals! If I find one and I know it’s a good one, better be fast and grab it before it’s gone. Two days ago Filipinas had frenzy shopping on PS Aeropostale website due to free $10 plus free shipping deal. I was one of the lucky ones who got to use four codes and made four transactions that only cost me $1.34 for I exceeded on the minimum amount that I should order, that’s fine! Paying that very little amount for five items is way better than paying $50 or more out of pocket if I didn’t use codes for my items.

You see, I see it as a blessing in a form of clothing. They are almost free if I say it. These warm fleece pants are comfortable and feel good to the skin. Some people who have money are willing to pay that amount but I am not, even though they were on sale but they would still be too much for our pocket. Thank God for the opportunities wherein I can still shop for clothes we need but pay too little for them.

Aeropostale has done a good job shipping these items, they came very fast and also they included $30 worth of coupons for next shopping. I love it!

Light Long Sleeves for Under $5

When one is in a tight budget, he or she would do anything to make ends meet. With that said, you don’t need to sacrifice buying some clothing for yourself for there are plenty of ways to save at the same time buying the things you need.

Another great find I found at a thrift store are these light long sleeves for under $5. These aren’t just mall clothing, these are GAP, Aeropostale and Mossimo. Two of which only priced $3.33 and the GAP is $4.94. Mind you, these were new with original tags still on when I found them. Luckily, two of which are my size, they are perfect for Fall.

Another awesome find is this GUESS lunch box. Who would have thought that I could only buy it for only $1.99? I may not need it right now but I know someday, I will. This can be used to ball game events where transparent bags are needed or for putting lunch boxes in it to work.

So this is my recent haul I made. What’s yours? Do you shop at Goodwill or thrift store too? I do! I should not be embarrassed admitting it for these stores aren’t the “wet market” type. Their clothes are neatly hanged in a clean environment. People I’ve seen who shop at these stores are office workers, elderly, myself and many others that you wouldn’t think you’ll find them digging in thrift stores.

It is just a sense of practicality why a lot of people would rather go there instead of spending so much money on things that they know they can buy for a lot less than in the mall or elsewhere.
